Minnesota Correctional Facility – Faribault

The Minnesota Correctional Facility – Faribault is a medium-security, level-three facility. Harris provided mechanical services for the multi-phased expansion and renovation. The project included the addition of three new living units, program buildings (psychological, religious, volunteer and education services), dining/kitchen area and the renovation of the senior care/special needs facility. Both the expansion and renovation occurred on a fast-track with multiple bid packs allowing prison operations to continue during construction.

Harris provided plumbing, heating piping and HVAC for this multi-million dollar expansion. Due to work being performed in an occupied facility, special security procedures were followed to ensure the safety of Harris employees as well as the general public.
