Tomson Hall was built over the top of the old Science Building after the new science building Regents Hall was constructed. The existing building was almost completely demolished, leaving only the foundation and columns.

HiMEC worked with Boldt Construction and Muska Electric to complete this design/build project on schedule and under the original budget. We designed and installed a complete mechanical system, including plumbing, heating and cooling for this four-story building.

Six air handling units provide heating and cooling to the building. To enhance the comfort of the occupants, HiMEC installed 270 VAV units to provide individual heating and cooling control for each office and classroom space.
