T-Mobile Arena

The newest edition to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is the 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena which will not only be the home of the NHL expansion Vegas Golden Knights, but host to numerous concerts and special events. From CAD coordination and prefabrication capabilities to our outstanding leadership in the field, Harris took a prominent role in the designing and implementation of the plumbing and mechanical systems which had to adhere to stringent technical guidelines and specifications set forth by the NHL. Harris met, and often exceeded these guidelines and installed a state-of-the-art facility which will be a cornerstone for sports and entertainment in Las Vegas for years to come.

Harris used its expertise and resources in CAD/BIM modeling to provide clash coordination with the other trades. This effort to catch and eliminate costly or time-consuming conflicts before they occurred was instrumental to the project’s success. Extensive CAD coordination and the use of Trimble units (laser layout devices) during installation also helped save time during the layout and leveling of plumbing and HVAC systems and contributed to the successful installation of the arena’s 92-inch diameter bowl ductwork.

Prefabrication was crucial to keeping the project on-schedule. The majority of the arena’s ductwork, plumbing and piping systems were prefabricated in the shop, including restroom carriers and large mechanical piping segments. The team designed, fabricated and installed the hydronic and domestic water piping as a rack system to maximize efficiency.
